She was President of the Asheville Optimist Club (serving the youth, including the award winning Santa Pal program). She was active in the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Sky-Hy Chapter of the American Business Women's Association. Mrs. Cooper was designated "Small Business Leader" by the Chamber of Commerce, Career Women by BPW, and both Cooper Travel Service and Cooper- Kaleidoscope Travel were designated as Businesses of Distinction. |
